Small Cage Big Cage
To sell the birds a bird-seller was standing in the center of the city carrying many cages. The cages had different types of birds. A gentleman saw the birds in different cages and advised the bird-seller “why are you so cruel to cage such beautiful and innocent birds and sale them? Let them free and see how they would enjoy the open and endless sky”
In the response of the man who looked like a philosopher, the bird-seller said “Sir, not only those birds are in the cage but I am as well. The only difference is that those birds are in a small cage whereas I am in a little big.”
After listening to the bird-seller the philosopher questioned “You are not in any cage. You are not in any one’s control. You are completely free. You can go wherever you like. Who is there to cage you?”
The bird-seller replied “No sir, you are not correct. I am in the cage as well. I am in the cage of need and poverty. The feature of my cage of poverty is that it is not visible like the bird’s cage. It is invisible. The people who are fond of cage-birds mostly give something to eat to the birds. But nobody is there to care for the poor people like us.”
The philosopher looked at the birds, the cages, and the bird-seller for a long time after he listened to the bird-seller.

this is very nice story......our life is very streeful. nobody is away from the jail of nature...we seems look free but our mind is occupied of time n space.
ReplyDeleteOne of the many wonderful things that can be made out of Manitoba branches are bird perches and bird stands. These stands can be free standing 6 feet or taller, mounted on a large wood or concrete base for your cage and aviary bird, or as small as ten inches long to clip onto the wall of a small bird cage.
