Fiction of the week - 3

A wise man and a fool

‘Write in brief, the difference between a wise man and a fool’ this was a question in an examination paper. Out of the many answers that were given, one of the answers stated that, ‘when a foolish man goes down the wrong path he only hurts himself. In contrast, when a wise man goes down the wrong path he brings hundreds of thousands of people down that path with him. A foolish man does not have the ability to do this because he does not have the intelligence to convince people to follow him, but the wise man does. People do not question the logics of a wise man and do not make any arguments against it. Hence in this way one can state the difference between a wise man and a fool.’
