The Hypocrisy - Fiction of the Week 10

The Hypocrisy

A group of dacoits got a big amount of money, gold, silver, and valuables after killing more than twenty people. All the dacoits in the group agreed to organize a party to celebrate their success.
A variety of delicious food was prepared. Right before starting the dinner a newly appointed assistant for the group looked at  the chief dacoit and said with full happiness “Sardar, I have prepared a variety of delicious food. There is mutton fry, chicken fry, fish, and bagedi as well. The food is wonderful. Basmati rice and rahari dal is so delicious.”
After listening to his assistant the chief dacoit got angry instead of being delighted. The chief yelled “you fool, didn’t you know that I am a vegetarian? What is right in the middle of my neck, look? This is Kanthi, made of Tulsi, which is a holly plant. This Kanthi denotes that I am a complete vegetarian. I never eat meat, fish or even eggs.”
The assistant was frightened after getting a negative reply from the chief. He presumed what would be possible physical consequences on him by the chief.
The assistant looked at the face of the chief to see the amount of his anger. The chief was still very angry. The assistant looked again at the chief to see if his emotion has changed. He saw fresh spots of blood on the chief’s shirt. The assistant couldn’t stop himself looking at the fresh spots of human blood. He looked at the spots for a long time.
